The RacingLine Billet Air Conditioning Caps replace the ageing, brittle factory plastic caps with a precision-machined aluminium alternative, bringing extra durability and a cleaner OEM-plus finish to the engine bay.
Supplied as a pair, each cap is CNC machined from high-quality 6061-T6 aluminium, hand-polished, gloss-anodised in Midnight Black and finished with a subtly etched RacingLine logo to match the rest of the RacingLine billet engine-bay range.
Installation couldn't be easier: simply unscrew the original caps and screw on the new RacingLine replacements. No tools, no air-conditioning system re-gas and no permanent modification required.
Two versions are available depending on the original cap colour fitted to the vehicle. Cars with grey OE caps generally use the newer R1234YF air-conditioning gas and require part number VWR190011. Cars with black OE caps generally use the older R134A gas and require part number VWR190012. As applications vary by model, build date and market, always check the colour of the original caps before ordering.
Before 2017, most cars have Black Caps with the older R134A air-con gas, requiring VWR190012 part number.
2018-onward cars mostly have Grey Caps with the newer R1234YF air-con, and need RacingLine caps VWR190011.
But the swapover date varies by build-dates, model and country of sale. Therefore always verify which colour of OE caps are on your own car first.
